NZ Bus CEA Claims - Stop Work Meeting
NZ Bus - News
Health & Safety
12 months after buying NZ Bus from Infratil, what's left of the company's management have finally realised that they have obligations under New Zealand's Health & Safety laws and have just commenced the process of appointing depot health and safety reps. H&S committee meetings should be held regularly but the last one was held in December 2019.
Health & Safety hazard identification forms have disappeared completely from the workplace making it very difficult for members to report identified hazards
The Tramways Union believes that standards are slipping and to this end wants members to notify the union of any concerns they have in order that action can be taken. If you are asked to drive faulty vehicles, given dangerous instructions by coms, exceeding the driving hours or notice hazardous situations in any of your work places please contact the secretary. If possible include a photo, time, date and location where the hazard occurred/was present.
Email the union at [email protected] or text/call the secretary Kevin O'Sullivan on 027 440-0384
